Simply Shutters feature on BBC Radio 2

Simply Shutters is well and truly getting into the summer spirit by choosing some tunes for BBC Radio 2. Each day between 3 and 3.30pm listeners of the Steve Wright in the Afternoon show are given the opportunity to ‘take over Radio 2 for a bit’ by submitting a list of ‘Golden Oldie’ songs of their choice for the chance to be featured on the shows ‘Non-Stop Oldies’ segment.

With Steve Wright on holiday this week Patrick Kielty has been filling in for him and this week the usual Non-stop Oldies half hour has been changed to ‘Office Oldies’ which means offices all over the UK are given the chance to have their chosen songs played out live on air.

Simply Shutters was lucky enough to be chosen this week and our Office Oldies were chosen by our customer service assistant Alan, our book keeper Jane, our office manager Carol and our social media administrator Claire. The segment aired at 3pm on Thursday 23^rd July and went down a treat.

We had a great afternoon listening to the tracks in our office and even had a little bit of a dance (although that’s something we would perhaps prefer not to be played out live).
