Great value knot free Araucaria pine louvre doors
In addition to our High Line and White Line Araucaria Pine door ranges, we also offer a budget range of pine louvre doors for those jobs where you might be working to a tight financial budget or a 28mm thick door is not required.
Made to the same high standards as the Araucaria High Line Pine units, our Budget Line Pine louvre range is manufactured from premium grade timber. The only difference is that they are 21mm thick instead of 28mm thick.

The doors have sufficient timber (top and bottom) to allow for some trimming. The amount that can be taken off of the overall height of a door depends on the door size as there is more capacity to trim on the taller doors than the shorter doors.
Trimming the overall width is a little trickier. Some easing of the verticals is allowable but we do not recommend taking more than a maximum of 5mm from each side of the vertical frame (stile) otherwise this could seriously weaken the door.

The horizontal frame sections (rails) are held to the stile by dowels. Should you cut through one these dowels when trimming, we suggest drilling a pilot hole and then inserting a 3" (75mm) screw through the stile into the rail to replace the lost dowel.
The screw head should be countersunk into the timber and then backfilled with wood filler and sanded for an invisible finish.
Don't forget to allow approximately 3mm per gap to allow for hinges and the easy operation of the door to prevent fouling on the door frame after painting.
